Your dentist examines you, takes X-rays only if they change the plan, and explains the options in plain language.
Treatment and follow-up
We treat on the day where we can, book any further visits before you leave, and send a reminder for each one.
How to Prepare
- Eat before your appointment. Your mouth will be numb for a few hours afterwards.
- Take your usual painkiller about an hour before if the tooth is already sore.
- Allow sixty to ninety minutes, and tell us if you need breaks during treatment.
- Plan for a follow-up visit to place the crown that protects the tooth long term.
What to Expect
The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic. The infected nerve tissue is carefully removed, the canals are cleaned and shaped, then sealed. A crown is placed at a follow-up appointment to protect the tooth long-term.
